Memorial Park was re-dedicated on Veterans Day, Friday, November 11, 2011, in an official grand reopening ceremony following a complete redesign. The centerpiece of the new park is the relocated Veterans Memorial panels.
Memorial Park with its substantial expanse of green space and close proximity to the upscale downtown area. The park hosts some of the largest yearly events in the area. The convenient Gazebo and band shell make it a perfect venue of community events.
On Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, 2013, thirteen new war plaques were dedicated to honor those who have served in the various wars that have taken place throughout American History.
