Lane Shifts/Closures for portions of SE Monterey Extension and SW California Ave. planned April 13 for asphalt work
STUART, Fla (April 10, 2023) – As part of the City of Stuart Annual Pavement Program, the City of Stuart, along with Pavement Technologies, Inc., will be applying Reclamite Asphalt Rejuvenator on the S.E. Monterey Road Extension from SE Monterey Road intersection eastward to S. Federal Highway and SW California Avenue on Thursday, April 13, 2023 (weather permitting).
This project will require intermediate lane shifts/closures; however, the roadway will be open (one lane at all times) for thru-traffic with traffic equipment/devices in place, including Variable Message boards on Monterey Road to provide advance notification to motorists.
The application of Reclamite Asphalt Rejuvenator, a penetrating sealant, extends the life expectancy of roads by replacing essential components that are lost over time from sun UV rays and wet weather. This process helps reduce future costs and taxpayer dollars needed for paving.
Each year, the City of Stuart inspects roadways and identifies streets requiring repair or reconstruction for the Annual Pavement Maintenance Program. Projects are scheduled with the goal to minimize impacts to residents and businesses.
