The City of Stuart Fire Rescue has a Logistics/Support Technician who also serves as our in-house Fire Rescue mechanic. Our in-house mechanic served as a Master ASE Technician as a civilian prior to joining our Fire Rescue Department. This position does everything from repairing small engines, installing/repairing emergency lights, sirens, radios and equipment on all apparatus. Our highly trained employee is also certified as a Master Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) for fire apparatus and ambulances. This is extremely valuable to our department by assuring our fleet stays operational and ready to serve the public at all times and reducing out of service times to those vehicles.
