Election Information
2024 City Commission Elections
The City of Stuart will hold Elections in 2024 for Commissioner Seats/Groups 2 and 4 with 4-year terms. This is a non-partisan election.
Candidate packet materials and election calendars will be available in the office of the City Clerk, located at City Hall, 121 SW Flagler Avenue in Stuart as of May 1, 2024. Interested Candidates may visit Florida Division of Elections for candidate forms in advance if desired.
First Day of Qualifying - June 10, 2024 at 12:00 Noon (City Clerk accepts Qualifying Forms at this time)
Last Day of Qualifying - June 14, 2024 by 12:00 Noon (Deadline for City Clerk to accept Qualifying Forms)
Primary Election Day - August 20, 2024
General Election Day - November 5, 2024
All candidates must be: 1) a registered elector of the City; 2) a permanent resident of the City; and 3) a continuous, full-time resident of the City for the entire calendar year preceding his/her qualification for office.

STEP ONE: Do not accept contributions and do not open a campaign account until you have filed Form DS-DE-9 “Appointment of Campaign Treasurer and Designation of Depository for Candidates” with the City Clerk.

STEP THREE: When Step One is complete and a copy of DS-DE-9 is taken to the bank to open an account, scheduled reports will be due. The report due date schedule will be available and provided to you by the City Clerk after May 1, 2024. Candidates are responsible for the reporting schedule upon filing.
